Ireland waiting still for O’Neill call

Stephen Ireland is waiting still for a phone call, from Martin O’Neill. The soccer star has stated that he hasn’t been contacted by any of the new managers of Republic of Ireland, be it Roy Keane or O’Neill.

However, Stephen has confirmed that he isn’t sitting all day by his phone for the call since it’s Stoke City that remains the 1st priority for the star footballer.

The young footballer is of the belief that Keane and O’Neill are waiting to find how his squad career looks as the playmaker strives for the contract post the season termination.

MOVE MADE PERMANENT

Stoke City have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Stefan Ireland, who has been on loan at the club since the start of the season. Ireland had fallen out of favour with Villa boss Paul Lambert, which led to his loan move to Stoke.

He has always enjoyed a great relationship with Stoke boss Mark Hughes even from his days at Manchester City. This has led to Ireland enjoying football after a long time. Stoke also have been able to take advantage of a very creative midfielder, who has not been playing regularly in the last few years.
