About

My story with the club

I got into supporting the team back in the mid 1990s when a relative took me along to my first game and from then on it turned into one of those family habits that just sticks. We would chat about what was happening on the pitch and who was doing what week after week and it never really left me. Years later that same interest pulled me towards Stephen Ireland in particular and I found myself wanting somewhere to put down all the bits and pieces that came up about him.

That is how this place got going. It is just me putting together the latest news that floats around plus any transfer talk that seems worth noting. Then there is the match reaction side of things after he has been on the pitch and a few opinions thrown in when something stands out. Nothing official just a fan sharing what he sees and hears.

What you will find here

Everything stays focused on Stephen Ireland so if that is who you follow then this should line up with what you are after. I cover the news stories as they come along whether they are short or a bit longer. Transfer talk gets its own space because those rumours always pop up and it is good to have them in one spot. Match reaction comes from watching how he played and thinking through the main moments without overdoing it. Opinion pieces are just my take on things like his form or how he fits into the side and I try to keep them straightforward like you would hear in a conversation down the pub.

There is no big team behind this and no links to the club itself so it stays completely independent and run by supporters. I update when there is something worth saying and keep it all in one place so anyone looking for Stephen Ireland stuff does not have to hunt around too much. If transfer rumours start flying or a game throws up talking points then those get written about in the same chatty way we might discuss it over a drink.
